Our Story

Vectis Taxis was Established by myself, Richard Cottell, in 2014.

The name Vectis was chosen, as this was the name given to the Isle of Wight by the Romans. I was born and grew up on the Isle of Wight and have the knowledge and experience to provide an informative service.

After obtaining my taxi licence, I began working as an independent driver in Ryde and across the Island.

I then became keen to grow the company into a business, a business that could achieve a good reputation for Island residents and tourists.
